Friends of the Parks launched web site.

Fort Wayne, April 2004 -- The Friends of the Parks has announced they are now accessible on the world wide web. Their web site at www.yeaparks.com provides information about The Friends of the Parks and the Fort Wayne and Allen County parks system.

The Friends of the Parks was founded in 2000 with the goal to promote the stewardship and celebration of the scenic, historic, and recreational resources of the parks and public spaces in Fort Wayne and Allen County.

"We are pleased to have the site online," says Julie Donnell, president of the Friends of the Parks. "It's a great way to communicate with the community, to let them know who we are and what our goals are. Plus it allows us to educate people about our great park system. Most people who use our parks don't realized they were designed by renowned international landscape artists."
